RUTO ON KILLINGS AND STATE ABDUCTIONS AROUND THE FINACE BILL DEMONSTRATIONS IN KENYA.

Gen z' s anticipated demonstration dubbed #occupy  JKIA had me thinking about the killings that took place some three weeks ago dubbed# occupy parliament. The demonstrations made sense untill the authentic gen z demonstrators were infiltrated by goons who were probably or rather allegedly funded by the politicians who are against the William Ruto government and worse still, the purpose of the demonstrations was beaten after the finance bill was dropped and the demonstrations went on like the demonstrators hadn't learned a thing from the killings and the losses occurred around the demonstration. Upon being interviewed live on Citizen Television, President William Ruto had a lot to say about those killings. With 20 people dead,39 missing through state driven abductions and 2.4 billion worth of properties destroyed Ruto as The Commander  In Chief had to be put on the spot on live television. The question still remains; were  the killings justified?

President Ruto made it clear that The Kenya Police Service is independent and it does not need authority and permission from the president and neither does it report to the office of the president because he had signed all the necessary instruments. He went ahead to say that The Kenya Police Service operates independently even financially and so kenyans had to be patient because it was only a matter of time before explanations were given regarding the dead people and the missing persons. on being told that his deputy Rigathi Gachagua said there was return of extrajudicial killings ,he answered in precision ,'there are no extrajudicial killings'.

President Ruto made it clear that the Kenyan citizens were entitled to demonstration provided they did so peacefully. He then went ahead to add that the gen z's were demonstrating peacefully until they were infiltrated by goons who had the intention to loot and destroy.  He made it clear that it wasn't the gen z's that burned The Chief Justice's office and invaded parliament. He said that the criminals took advantage of the situation and caused havoc hence forcing the police to use live and rubber bullets which resulted in a 12 year old Kennedy Onyango getting 8 bullet wounds. In his words ,'There was a situation in Ngong where the police were overpowered by the goons and snatched the weapons from the  police and used it against the people and so one police officer had to shoot the goon, i cannot confirm that that was the guy that shot the kid but the investigations are ongoing and i will finally give an explanation to the mother to Kennedy Onyango and make sure her child is accounted for'.

The president rubbished reports by THE KENYA NATIONAL COMMISION ON HYMAN RIGHTS that 24 bodies of people who died from gun wounds were lying in morgues saying that KNCHR  were liars because at first they said that 20 people died in Githurai and so he was even ready to call their bluff. He wrapped it up by saying  that there would be an explanation on how all this people died.

When it came to abductions, majorly on Alfred Keter, his response was so apt,' Arrest by police do not translate to abduction. Former member of parliament for Nandi Hills Alfred Keter was summoned by the police but he never showed up so the police had to go looking for him, impunity cuts both ways, those who respect the law must be respected by the law and those who do not respect the law must face the full force of the law'

Basically what Ruto tried to say was that everything was done for a reason and there must always be collateral damage.
